image.pngOn March 12th, Guangzhou, Guangdong Hong Kong and Macao Customs officially launched the "Three Places and One Lock Plan". The first batch of goods were transported from the DHL hub of Hong Kong International Airport via the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge on the 8th to the cross-border goods transfer station on the Macau port side of the bridge for delivery. After that, they sailed to the Macau customs clearance point to successfully complete the customs declaration and clearance procedures.

In 2016, Mainland China Customs and Hong Kong Customs took the lead in carrying out the Guangdong Hong Kong "Cross border One Lock" cooperation. In 2020, Mainland China Customs and Macau Customs launched the Guangdong Macao "Cross border One Lock" cooperation, which uses electronic locks and global positioning systems to fully monitor import and export vehicles and their cargo, greatly reducing the situation of the same batch of goods being inspected by customs repeatedly.

To further promote the efficient and convenient flow of various resources in the Greater Bay Area, the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Customs has upgraded the current "Cross border One Lock" cooperation project between Guangdong Hong Kong and Guangdong Macao Customs to the "Three Places One Lock Plan". The customs in the three regions are continuously strengthening the connection mechanism of rules, conducting real-time monitoring of the shared lock for the supervision of goods transportation between Guangdong and Hong Kong, Guangdong and Macao, and Hong Kong and Macao, to achieve convenient passage for enterprises through Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.
